Imogen Gorecki has a problem—her twin sister just got engaged, and guess who’s the best man? That’s right, her scum-of-an-ex-boyfriend whom she caught cheating with a bottle-blonde, with fake breasts and a stripper’s flexibility. There’s a disturbing possibility her eyes will never recover.
Gen needs a date for the engagement party, but finding Mr. Perfect in a time crunch is proving impossible. Just when she’s about to give up, she face-plants into the crotch of the sexiest guy she’s ever met.
Matt Sesnick is everything Gen wants in a man —except he’s not interested in a relationship. Can she convince Matt to take another shot at love, or will Gen’s pregnant, hormonal older sister, her bridezilla twin, and all of her past Mr. Wrongs get in the way of their happily-ever-after?

excerpt
“You really should change that light bulb,” Matt said, glancing around us.
“I know.” I pushed aside my wallet to dig to the bottom of my oversized purse. “I kind of take for granted that this is supposed to be a safe neighborhood.”
“Until an alien abducts you off your poorly lit porch.”
“Very funny.” I glanced up from my purse with a smile. “But really, it’s late. You could have been home by now.”
“Gen, I’m glad to walk you to your door. I would have worried about you if I hadn’t.”
I considered him as we stood there on my porch, the light flickering above us. I didn’t want him to leave, but I didn’t know how to ask him to stay. Maybe I could ask him in for a drink, though I’d already had enough.
But I have those cupcakes…
Yeah. I could offer him cupcakes. They weren’t his favorite, chocolate with sprinkles, but yellow cake with milk chocolate frosting had to be a close second, right? Hadn’t he said a cupcake will fix everything?
“I’m really glad we went out tonight.” His voice made me jump and I dropped the keys. We both bent to pick them up at the same time and bumped foreheads.
“Sorry,” he said.
“It’s okay, I’m fine.” I clasped my forehead and laughed. Probably, I sounded hysterical. Like a rabid hyena. I couldn’t even look him in the eye when I took the keys from him. “Thanks for inviting me. I had a lot of fun tonight.”
“Me too,” he said.
I put the key into the lock, turning it slowly as I struggled with what to do about him and my out of control libido. Unlocking my door hadn’t given me enough time to figure things out, though, so I tried to prolong sliding the patio door open. That didn’t take long either, and I hesitated in the doorway, still unsure. I opened my mouth to ask him in, but nothing came out. So I stepped backward through the doorway, my gaze glued to his. After a moment, he followed me inside, part of his face lost in shadows.
Time stood still. My tongue darted out to lick my lips, and I lifted up onto my toes as he lowered his head to meet me halfway. The smell of his cologne surrounded me and my eyes drifted shut. He grasped me loosely around my back, pulling me close, sending shivers coursing through my body. His breath caressed my skin, his lips just a whisper away from mine, and my lips parted…

blurb
Once upon a time…
Bridal boutique owner, Alexis Gorecki, used to believe in happily-ever-afters—until prince charming turned into a toad.
Months after being blindsided by her own horrific wedding scandal, Lexie is desperately trying to keep her boutique afloat in the wake of all the bad publicity. Waging war against her evil almost-in-laws—the people who will stop at nothing to ruin her reputation—sounded much better in her head. Lexie's strawberries and cream personality really isn’t cut out for taser guns and blackmail.
To complicate matters, Lexie's first love is back in town with his sexy green eyes and out-of-control abs. He already broke her heart once before, the beast. Leo Moss has always been her weakness and he's made it perfectly clear what he wants. Can he convince Lexie she's not done with love just yet?

excerpt
“Damn it, Lex, you keep pushing me away and it’s pissing me off.” He ran his hands through his hair. “I’m not going to fight over you with some guy who’s already gone.”
“Me pushing you away has nothing to do with Jeremy,” I said and crossed my arms. What I didn’t say was that it had everything to do with Leo, with our past, with me not wanting to get my heart broken again. Why couldn’t he understand that? Why couldn’t he read my mind and know all the questions I had about why he’d broken up with me the way he had, and why he was suddenly here, again, in my life, torturing me with feelings I didn’t want to have. Feelings that scared the hell out of me?
His face lowered, and suddenly his lips were near my ear lobe. I sucked in a breath. “Did he make you feel like this?” he whispered, and then his lips pressed softly against the sensitive skin of my neck. “Or this?” His lips captured my earlobe, a flicker of wet heat, and then it was gone, replaced by a draft of cold air seeping through the crack under the door. “Or this.”
His lips captured mine and stars exploded behind my closed eyes. Everything was warm, my entire body weightless and fuzzy. The kiss was slow; the heat of it felt all the way down to my toes. His tongue slid against mine in a silken kiss of passion that erupted inside of me.

Alexis (Lexie) Gorecki
Lexie is cream and roses, and for as long as she, or anyone else, can remember, she’s been in love with the fairytale of happily-ever-afters. She’s been planning her dream wedding since the age of seven. Hayden Panettiere has the ability to capture youth and innocence, with that girl next door vibe, and I think she’s perfect for Lexie’s character.

clip_image032
Leonardo (Leo) Moss
Um, yeah… Leo must definitely be played by Channing Tatum. I don’t even think there needs to be much explanation, besides the fact that he has green eyes, brown hair, gorgeous lips, and an out of control body. Plus, I love Channing’s ability of putting humor into his characters, as well as playing a serious. He’s perfect as Leo, and perfect for Lexie, the heroine of the Done With Love

clip_image033
Imogen (Gen) Gorecki
Since Gen is Lexie’s twin sister, but with shorter hair, she’d have to be played by Hayden Panettiere, and of course she’d make the perfect Gen. She’s a great actress, so I don’t think she’d have any trouble playing the twins. Gen’s character is fun and colorful, she loves rock where Lexie loves country music. They’re complete opposites when it comes to style, but Hayden’s talented enough she could pull it off. She’s got this. No bigz

clip_image034
Roxanna (Roxi) Moss
Lexie’s and Gen’s BFF since grade school when Roxanna almost ran them over with her pink scooter. Roxanna is half Italian, half Filipino and 100% drama and fun. Vanessa Hudgens would be perfect for to play Roxi in this series.

clip_image035
Richard (bad date that never ends)
I’ve loved Richard’s character ever since writing him into Another Shot At Love. If you haven’t read Another Shot At Love, you should. Definitely. I recommend it so that you can fall in love with Richard’s character, too.
He’s super geeky, but good looking, and his idea of a hobby is delivery pizza, a couch and hours playing video games, while sometimes wearing a replica Master Chief helmet to get pumped up for Xbox live… But, mostly, he’s inexperienced with women, has some equally inexperienced friends who give him really bad chick advice. Bless his hot, geeky heart. If you’ve ever seen Justin Timberlake in Bad Teacher, read him in the What’s Love??? series and picture him in the role of Richard, and let me know what you think :)

clip_image037
Catherine (Cat) Gorecki
We met Catherine in Another Shot At Love, a very pregnant and hormonal older sister to the twins. In Done With Love, she’s a new mother of her own set of twins. I think Katherine Heigl would play the perfect stressed out, sleep deprived new mother, and Katherine rocks in romantic comedies :)

clip_image038
Matthew (Matt) Sesnick
Seriously, Ian Somerhalder is out of control and needs to behave...but only after he plays Matt, Gen’s boyfriend, in the What’s Love??? series. He’s perfect, and exactly who I was fantasizing...I mean, exactly who I was professionally imagining would play Matt in the movie. He doesn’t have hazel eyes, but I’m sure readers would forgive that oversight if it’s Ian who plays the role ;)

about the author

clip_image040
Niecey Roy knew she wanted to be a writer from a very young age, but her moment of enlightenment came after watching the movie You’ve Got Mail. It was then she realized her place in life, and happily parked her butt on writing romance. Her dream was to create sexy vixens, hunky, half-naked heroes, and above all, romance; lots and lots of butterflies in the belly, breathless first kisses and happily-ever-afters.
Most days she can be found at home at a cluttered desk, pounding her tired little fingers away on a keyboard with nothing but black pepper flavored sunflower seeds and Visine as her weapons for mass-romance-novel-creation. When her fingers need a break, you’ll find her at a table with friends, drinking a few martinis and showing off a new pair of (sometimes ridiculous) high heels. She’s usually the loudest at the table and most often the one snorting with laughter.
Niecey is the author of Fender Bender Blues, a contemporary romantic comedy published by The Wild Rose Press. Her new romantic comedy series, What’s Love??? includes Another Shot At Love, and Done With Love releasing April 2014.

excerpt
“Would you like to come inside for coffee or tea?” Savannah “I’d love to,” he answered without hesitation.
Once at her doorstep, she fumbled for her keys. One part of her didn’t want the night to end.
Rob followed behind her and broke the silence. “So, this is what the inside of a newswoman’s place looks like.” He glanced around.
If only she’d straightened up earlier in the day. The dining room table looked like a cyclone hit it. Between the newspaper pile, junk mail, and paper plates you couldn’t even see the table. “I’ve been so busy lately.”
“Tell me about it. My kids constantly complain how many hours I work. I’m lucky if I can spare a moment at the end of the day to myself.”
The mention of his children reinforced the reason why she should put a halt to the playful flirtation. The wall she had set up to keep her safe from sorrow and guilt hit her in the face. She retreated to a safe place inside her heart, whenever she came close to a reminder of her past. Savannah was skilled at putting her feelings aside and instead put a smile on her face.
“Sit down and make yourself comfortable. Do you prefer regular or decaf or how about organic green tea?”
“Tea sounds good to me. Green tea carries health benefits, too.”
“I’ll be right back.” How cute, a medical reference. A fresh brewed tea took a few minutes in the new system she’d purchased at a specialty shop. A bag of oatmeal cookies made with all natural ingredients came in handy and she reached for them along with the cups. When the tea was done, she put a few cookies on the tray and carried it to the living room. The last thing she expected was to play hostess.
“Here you go.” She placed it down on the coffee table.
Rob patted the spot next to him. “It’s time to relax. You’ve had a tiring day.” He took a few sips of tea and placed the mug down on a coaster.
His doting words reminded her of the typical thing a doctor would say, but his caring nature appealed to her. With Rob sitting so close, her hands shook. They exchanged playful glances. Rob stood and went over to the sliding glass doors. “You have a great view from here.”
She got up and slowly moved toward him. Her chest tightened with each step. As she approached him and admired his broad shoulders, it dawned on her he could be a candidate for People’s sexiest man alive. Control yourself.
“I’m happy here,” she admitted. “I love it when the morning light shines on the water and it mimics fine pieces of crystal.”
Rob slowly approached her. His gaze fixed on her, sent shivers from head to toe. Afraid of what might happen next, she turned away. They were too close for comfort. An electric energy surged between them. Before she could stop him, Rob reached for her and pulled her up against his chest. “You’re an amazing woman, Savannah.” His lips met hers and he cradled her head in his hands as if she was a precious jewel. It all happened so quickly, she didn’t have time to react. The warmth of his touch sent waves of heat down her stomach and in between her legs as the world stood still. When Rob’s hands moved slowly across her back, it took her to a level of arousal she never expected. She found herself spellbound by the feel of his rock hard body pressed up against her chest. All of the emotions she’d kept inside emerged when Rob held her tight. When they finally parted, she stood frozen in shock with her heart pounding and her ears ringing.
His expression made him look as if he broke the law with his eyes practically popping out of his head. He quickly took a step back. “I don’t know what to say. I’m so sorry for my rude behavior.”
“You weren’t rude. I didn’t stop you.”

about the author
clip_image005Although writing is my passion, nursing is my vocation. I work in an emergency room, and it’s been challenging, and rewarding, to be such an integral part of so many other’s daily struggles. I have a wonderful husband who always offers his support, and never complains about my crazy schedule. One of our favorite romantic getaways is Cape May, New Jersey, an old historic beach town where we take a step into the past, and enjoy life’s simple pleasures. Although my children are all grown with busy lives of their own, Chaz, our Shepherd mix, still dutifully stands guard at the house. We are also blessed with three adorable grandsons.
Other interests of mine include cooking, reading, and the theater. However, spending time with my family is most important to me. Even though my life is filled with work, family, etc., my mind continues to ponder the next story or concept for a new novel.
